Mubeen Ahmad (26), a native of Sangareddy, studying in the United States was shot at by an armed robber while working at a gas station in California last Sunday. Mubeen, shot in the abdomen, is undergoing treatment at a hospital there and his condition is stated to be stable.
According to Aslam, a close relative, Mubeen’s brother Imran Farooq, who is also staying in the United States, rushed to the spot.
Mubeen, pursuing post-graduation at Silicon Valley University, San Jose, has been working at a gas station in California. On June 4 an armed robber entered his work place and fired shots at him. He got a shot in his abdomen and is currently undergoing treatment at Eden Medical Care Centre, Castro Valley.
Mubeen’s father, working in the Air Force stays with the family at Masab Tank in Hyderabad. Mubeen’s parents, who want to leave for the US to be with their son, have approached the US consulate in Hyderabad. However, the visa process could not be initiated due to some technical problems. The family members plan to visit the US consulate again on Friday to get the visa process commenced.
