Half way through its 26-episode term on DD Yadagiri, Saleem Kathalu , the serial from popular humorist Sanku will soon go on air for DD Saptagiri.

The serial based on works of Syed Saleem, an Income Tax official and recipient of Kendra Sahitya Akademi award, has completed 13 episodes on DD Yadagiri which is aired for Telangana. Once the remaining 13 episodes get telecast here, the producers have decided to go on air with the serial on DD Saptagiri to reach viewers in Andhra Pradesh.

Sanku says required arrangements are on to take Saleem Kathalu episodes, which has roped in talent such as LB Sriram, Srilatha, Preeti Nigam, Karra Nagesh and others, to the viewers of DD Saptagiri.

Meanwhile, the All India Radio is also said to be keen on acquiring audio rights of the serials based on the critically acclaimed stories of Saleem.

“A popular Telugu general entertainment channel is also interested on second season of the serial and talks are in early stages for the proposal,” says Sanku.

Dubbing the serial into other languages is also a possibility being explored by the production team after a Bhojpuri television producer approached for rights.

‘Saleem Kathalu’ is telecast on DD Yadagiri from Monday to Friday at 7.30 p.m.
