The Germany government has conferred recognition on the Telangana Association of Germany (TAG), which would act as a platform for about 2,000-odd people from the State studying and working in Germany.

On the occasion of TAG’s recognition, members of the first executive body — Raghu Chaliganti as president, Jeevan Reddy Sankaramaddi as vice-president, Ravi Pandranki as secretary, Swecha Reddy Baireddy as cultural secretary and Venugopal Reddy Baireddy as treasurer — were felicitated.

Vemulawada legislator Ch. Ramesh Babu, who is touring Germany as part of the Indo-German relations and developmental programmes, participated in the TAG meeting and informed the German Agriculture Ministry and Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research about seed and water management issues in Telangana. TAG members also felicitated the legislator, who was associated with Germany for over three decades as researcher at the Humboldt University.
