Inhabitants of Gurrambodu, Krishna Tanda and Tumma Tanda tribal hamlets under Peddaveedu gram panchyat limits staged a protest at the Nalgonda district collectorate demanding that the State government withdraw the proposed 200 MW thermal power plant under the Panchyat limits. The villagers alleged that the police filed cases against more than 70 people from these three tribal hamlets for peacefully opposing the public hearing that was scheduled to held at the village on September 10.
