Pranab to open World Divine Congress

President Pranab Mukherjee will inaugurate the global strategic alliance (GSA) World Divine Congress here on June 23.

The President will arrive at the Begumpet airport at noon on June 23 and leave for the Congress being organised by the NRI Seva Foundation at Shilpakala Vedika. He will leave for New Delhi at 1.30 p.m. after formally inaugurating the Congress.

Chief Secretary S.P. Singh, who held a meeting with senior officials of different departments on Monday directed them to make necessary arrangements for the President’s visit.

Officials were instructed to put special focus on the arrangements including the traffic management plan, sanitation and road maintenance besides erecting the banners for welcoming the President.

Adequate care should be taken in making the arrangements in view of the monsoon rains, he said.
