All roads lead to Kongara Kalan, about 40 km from Hyderabad, which is set to host one of the largest public meeting ever witnessed in the State.
The ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has convened the grandiose meeting — Pragati Nivedana — to make a statement on the development achieved in the short span of four years since it took over the reins. The meeting is expected to be attended by 25 lakh people.

With the people utilising every available means of transport to arrive at the venue, roads in several districts wore a deserted look while major bus stands are practically empty as all the buses had been hired to ferry people to and from Kongara Kalan.
In Khammam, for instance, 580 0f the total 630 strong TSRTC fleet had been hired while the Adilabad police stopped movement of heavy vehicles on NH-44 to pre-empt any scope for congestion. More than 600 heavy vehicles had already been halted, while 300 to 400 more are likely to be stopped till late Sunday evening.
RTC services in Sangareddy and other districts were stopped as buses were kept ready to transport latecomers, leaving regular passengers in the lurch.
