State will be transformed into ‘Bangaru Telangana’, says Etala

Minister for Finance and Civil Supplies Etala Rajender has called upon all sections of society to rededicate and support Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for the transformation of State into ‘Bangaru Telangana’.

“We secured Telangana State after making several sacrifices ”, he said.

Cautioning people to be alert from the Seemandhra leaders, who were still planning clandestinely to swindle the resources of Telangana, he urged the people to support the Chief Minister, who is striving hard for the removal of poverty and protection of natural resources, Telangana art, culture and its rich heritage.

The Minister participated in the first Telangana State Formation Day celebrations in Karimnagar on Tuesday. The Minister along with Zilla Parishad chairperson Tula Uma, local legislator Gangula Kamalakar, Husnabad legislator V. Satish Babu, Mayor S. Ravinder Singh, former MLC Naradasu Laxman Rao, Collector Neetu Prasad and others garlanded the statue of Telagnana thalli and Telangana ideologue Prof. K. Jayashankar. They also paid floral tributes at Telangana Martyrs Memorial amid slogans of “Jai Telangana”.

At the police parade grounds, the Minister hoisted the national flag Addressing the gathering, Mr. Rajender said that the government was committed and rededicating itself to fulfil the dreams of Telangana martyrs.

Recollecting the second phase of statehood movement by all sections of society, he called upon the people to support the government for making Telangana State as number one in the country with all round development.

He alleged that the Seemandhra leaders were still eyeing on the resources of Telangana State and informed the people to be alert.

He also recollected that the support extended by the people of Karimnagar district for the statehood movement since 2001. He also listed out various welfare schemes and developmental programmes initiated by the State government.

The Minister also honoured the families of Telangana martyrs at the programme.

Later, the artists have presented colourful cultural programmes depicting the culture and traditions of Telangana State.

He also distributed assets worth Rs 1.55 crore to the beneficiaries.
