‘Party giving importance to turncoats from Congress and TDP’

The old-timers of TRS party raised a banner of revolt against the party leadership and warned against allocating the Warangal East ticket to new entrants.

Senior leaders Jannu Jacharaiah, Gudimalla Ravi Kumar and others, who have been waiting for a chance, said they would not tolerate this time if the party leadership preferred others over them. They accused the leadership of giving a free hand to those who migrated from other parties.

“Those who joined from Congress and TDP are still maintaining their own cadre neglecting the long-time workers of TRS party. We have been associated with the party since its inception and took part in separate Telangana movement,” Mr Jacharaiah said.

Stating that it is not a revolt against leadership, Mr Ravi Kumar pointed out that several seniors were denied opportunities only to accommodate new entrants in the interest of party. They have been promised of suitable opportunities but made to wait for long . “This is a good chance for the party leadership to honour those long timers who are with the party since a long time. The Warangal East seat should be allotted to those who took part in separate Telangana movement,” he pointed out.

Mr Jacharaiah and Mr Ravi Kumar who belong to SC community said there were many workers like them waiting for their turn for political opportunities. They clarified that if the party leadership did not heed to their word, they would not work for the party’s victory this time.

It may be noted that Mr Ravi Kumar, who was aspiring for Warangal Parliament seat during last by-election, was convinced to make way for P Dayakar by none other than the TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao . KCR visited Mr Ravi Kumar’s residence and urged him to work for the victory of Mr Dayakar and promised to give a good position.

Mr Jacharaiah too was associated with the party since its inception.
