Notification on High Court bifurcation likely soon

Union Law Minister Ravishanker Prasad on Thursday assured a delegation of TRS MPs that called on him that the Centre will implement the Supreme Court order on bifurcation of High Court at Hyderabad from January 1.

By this, Mr. Prasad inferred that the government will issue a notification for the same before December 31, according to TRS deputy leader in Lok Sabha B. Vinod Kumar. He said the MPs met Mr. Prasad seeking the notification and two other Union Ministers for some concessions to Telangana.

They met Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley seeking release of the last instalment of Backward Region Grant Fund of ₹450 crore and Railway Minister Piyush Goyal for speeding up of work on Manoharabad - Kothapalli line. They also sought stoppages of express trains in small stations like Uppal and Jammikunta in Karimnagar district. Doubling of existing lines and new lines were also taken up with Mr. Goyal.

Apart from Mr. Vinod Kumar, the delegation included leader in Lok Sabha A.P. Jitender Reddy, Ms. K. Kavitha, Mr. Bura Narsaiah Goud, Mr. G. Nagesh and Mr. Lingaiah Yadav.
