No scope for Third front of regional parties, says Eatala Rajender

‘KCR just wants to divert the attention of the people of Telangana’

“There is only going to be an NDA, led by the BJP, and UPA, in which the Congress is a partner, with no scope for any Third Front of regional parties, as is being imagined by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao,” observed senior BJP leader Eatala Rajender.

“KCR just wants to divert the attention of the people of Telangana from raging issues like unemployment. He met West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and others earlier also but what happened then? There is no way those with Congress will part ways,” he said while addressing a press conference at the party office on Sunday.

The former Minister in the TRS Government sought to point out that the “alacrity and interest being shown in politics by KCR to get to the national stage was missing in solving the problems here and taking action after speeches are made on the floor of the Legislative Assembly.” He, neither has time and interest nor inclination to review any of them, he charged.

“Where are the job notifications when the Pay Revision Commission (PRC) itself said there are 1.90 lakh vacancies? There has been no recruitment for teachers, language pandits and Group 1 posts in the last seven years. This has led to a lot of disillusionment from among the educated unemployed, more so from first generation graduates hailing from weaker sections with some resorting to taking the extreme step,” he bemoaned.

“Many youths are worried about being ineligible due to the age factor and accused the government of making ‘false promises’ and later giving ‘false information’ about 1.32 lakh jobs given during the MLC polls when a mere 35,000 posts were filled through the TS Public Service Commission. Residential welfare schools are forced to recruit teachers on contract basis for paltry salaries,” he reminded.

Many newly-formed districts and revenue divisions to decentralise administration were not serving the purpose due to lack of staff and none of the grievances of the people were being solved, the BJP leader added.
