Newborn baby girl abandoned

The baby was spotted by a shepherd near Tirugallapally village

Some unidentified persons abandoned a newborn girl child at Tirugallapally village of Marriguda mandal in Nalgonda district on Monday.

According to Marriguda SI G. Murali Mohan, a shepherd spotted the abandoned baby on the outskirts of the village at 1p.m..

Following the information, Mr. Mohan said that they brought the baby to the health centre at Marriguda from where she was shifted to the Government General Hospital, Nalgonda after providing first aid. The baby was suffering from some infection. However, the doctors said that she was healthy.

The Women and Child Welfare Department officials said that the girl would be admitted into Sishugruha.

A case has been registered.
