January 20, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:42 am IST - NIZAMABAD:

In response to the directions of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao during his last visit to the district, the authorities responsible have been coordinating with each other to find out suitable piece of land and also prepare proposals and estimates to construct Collectorate building to house 75 government departmental.

Talking to reporters here on Monday after going around the existing Collector office Pragathi Bhavan and adjoining places, Collector D. Ronald Ross and MLA Bigala Ganesh Gupta said that as part of the efforts they went round Irrigation and engineering offices. Premises of other Government offices surrounding the Pragathi Bhavan would also be visited before arriving at a decision, they said.

Though the proposals were sent earlier in 2008, 2011 and 2012 on the same subject since all the offices were not covered then a study was required afresh, they said adding that after thorough enquiry followed by preparation of feasibility report new proposals would be made to the Government.

Mr. Ganesh Gupta said that if all the offices were housed at one complex it would avoid the unnecessary expenditure for people and also give administrative convenience to Government and officers.

Revenue Divisional Officer Yadi Reddy and Tahsildar Rajender were present.
