Netaji’s birth anniversary celebrated

The 119th birth anniversary of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose was celebrated across the district on Friday.

At a programme organised at the College of Law, Telangana University, Principal Jaitling Ellosa said that youth should emulate Bose to know about the significance of dedication, patriotism and discipline.

He said that Netaji had laid down his life with ease for the cause of freedom and liberty of the country.

If students pursued the education with the dedication and concentration which Netaji showed in his mission, they would achieve many successes, he added.

Board of Studies chairperson Shobha Rani, assistant professors K. Prasanna Rani, and Sravanthi and others were present.

Netaji's birth anniversary was also celebrated at Subash Health Club at Subashnagar and other places in Nizamabad.

Karimnagar Special Correspondent adds: The District Congress committee leaders paid tributes to Netaji Subash Chandra Bose here on Friday.

The DCC leaders led by Mahila Congress president Gugilla Jayashree, Congress municipal floor leader Gandhe Madhavi, party leaders Bomma Sriram Chakravarthy, Venne Rajamallaiah and others paid floral tributes to his portrait at the party office and his statue in the town.

They recollected his services through the formation of Azad Hind Fauz to fight against the Britishers.
