TTD board member Bhanu Prakash Reddy envisioned the need for the construction of a third queue complex at Tirumala.
Talking to media on Saturday, Mr. Reddy said that despite having two massive complexes that could together house over 50,000 devotees in a single sitting, pilgrims were forced to spend arduous waiting hours in the darshan lines that quite often stretch out of the monolithic structures. The situation is more distressing on the days of heavy crowds and on festive occasions when the queue lines further stretch out to couple of kilometres on to the road.
The construction of a third complex would alleviate the sufferings of the devout to a great extent, he said.
Irrespective of the fact that whether the board would endorse his view or not, Mr. Reddy said that he was determined to raise the issue in the ensuing meeting of the trustees.
Earlier, Mr. Reddy also interacted with the pilgrims waiting in the darshan lines at the Narayanagiri gardens and inquired them about the facilities being extended by the temple administration.
