Nalgonda police take part in Mission Kakatiya

Motivated by the ‘Mission Kakatiya’ programme initiated by the Telangana government, Nalgonda police adopted Regulacheruvu tank located at Pillaipalli village in district to restore it. . Superintendent of Police Vikramjit Duggal launched the de-silting works in the minor irrigation tank which had 150 acres of ayacut under it.

Speaking to news reporters here on Tuesday, he said that the police department wanted to be a part of every development activity initiated by the State government to help the people benefit from them the most.

As part of Jana Maithri programme, Mr. Duggal said that they appointed one constable at each village to maintain law and order. In addition to that, he said, constables would also help the villagers in applying for various welfare schemes introduced by the government.

The restoration works of Regulacheruvu tank would be completed by Bhongir Sub-Divisional Police led by DSP S. Mohan Reddy.
