The Nalgonda district administration represented by Collector Guarav Uppal has entered into a memorandum of understanding with INREM Foundation, a Gujarat-based research organisation, for safe water.

At grassroots level

‘Sustaining systems on water quality and health’ as the theme, the European Union-funded project will focus on safe water, nutrition awareness and behaviour modification, officials said.

Its grassroots implementation will be ensured by heads and staff from all departments.

Assigning Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Department the role of coordination, Mr. Uppal said the opportunity with INREM would help build a people-centric platform to address problems like fluorosis. Representatives from the Foundation said the project will serve as a platform connecting people and administration, and on Wednesday, a three-month preparatory plan was chalked out, they informed.
