MRPS leader Manda Krishna Madiga said the much expected socially-equitable Telangana was watered down by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, who has been denying the poor and marginalised their due.
Lashing out at KCR here on Friday, he said T. Rajaiah was sacked from being deputy chief minister for no reason. He was labelled as corrupt when there were no purchases of vehicles or appointment of posts in the department.
KCR and his men deliberately launched a smear campaign against Rajaiah and dismissed him from the Cabinet.
“I have been warning the people that if separate Telangana comes, it is Reddys’ and Velamas, who constitute just six per cent will rule it and not the SCs who comprise 17 per cent of the population and others,” Mr. Krishna Madiga said.
The SC community in the State would launch a struggle against KCR and against the political system where the SCs are still discriminated.
Allegations
against others
There were corruption allegations against some other Ministers who belonged to Reddy community and those related to KCR, but no action was taken. In Home Ministry held by N. Narasimha Reddy, purchase worth over Rs. 300 crore took place for new vehicles and money changed hands on a large-scale. Despite allegations, KCR did not initiate any action. Harish Rao’s name was figured in illegal sand quarrying scandal and Minister Mahender Reddy’s name figured in Rs. 200 crore land deal.
“Dismissing a Dalit Minister is nothing mockery of democracy. Dalits are made scapegoats branding them as corrupt and incompetent. All Dalits will revolt against this government soon and teach a fitting a lesson,” Mr. Krishna Madiga said.
The Reddy and Velama communities that constitute a mere six per cent of the population in Telangana State got six and four Ministers respectively, while the SCs who constitute 17 per cent of population got single Minister in the Cabinet. “KCR deceived on Dalit Chief Minister promise and now he is discriminating against Dalits even more,” the MPRS leader pointed out.
