Minister lays foundation for martyrs column

Forest Minister Jogu Ramanna on Sunday said the Government was preparing to issue notifications for as many as 7 lakh jobs in the coming months. He said that the recruitment process was in accordance with the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti's avowed objective of providing employment to the unemployed after formation of the State.

Laying foundation for Telangana martyrs column near R&B Guest House, the Minister said that the Government had already announced 43 per cent fitment in the pay revision for employees thereby fulfilling another committment. Similarly, he said that the Government also cared for the families of martyrs and had released an ex-gratia of Rs.10 lakh to each of such familiy.

Mr. Ramanna said people in Adilabad will pay homage to the martyrs at the upcoming martyrs column on June 2 in connection with the State formation day. Adilabad MP G. Nagesh, TNGOs Union Adilabad president S. Ashok and others were present.
