District Collector Bharati Hollikeri called upon the bankers to extend assistance for the improvement of economic conditions of the poor in villages. Participating in the bankers’ meeting here on Wednesday, Ms. Bharati said: “State and Central Governments have been implementing various schemes to improve economic condition of the poor in villages. Mudra Loans and StartUp loans need to be extended to the beneficiaries.” She has warned officials that inaction would not be tolerated if the last instalment of loan amount was not credited to the account of farmers. She also released annual credit plan.
