Lambadas demand ex gratia money

The Lambadi Hakkula Porata Samithi on Monday demanded ₹10 lakh as ex-gratia amount for the family of Soyam Sunil, a class VII student of Jhari Ashram High School in Gadiguda mandal of Adilabad district who died at his hostel on Sunday. The LHPS Adilabad district president Ramana Naik Jadhav accused the school staff of negligence in getting the Adivasi boy treated at hospital as they were absent when he required attention. Mr. Jadhav accused the Tribal Welfare Department of corrupt practices. He also demanded appointment of a full-time Project Officer to the Utnoor Integrated Tribal Development Agency which will help in proper supervision of tribal development activities.
