Lab of Kaveri Seeds inaugurated

Focus on enhancing R&D

Agriculture Minister S. Niranjan Reddy on Monday inaugurated the biotechnology laboratory of Kaveri Seeds at Pamulaparthy village in Siddipet district.

The company set up the lab as part of its focus on enhancing its R&D and innovation capabilities aimed at improving agricultural productivity. Called the Centre for Applied Genomics and Seed Technology, it will house the latest infrastructure and focus on developing quality hybrids for all crops, a release said.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Kaveri Seeds G.V. Bhaskar Rao said on the occasion that the company’s research and development activities were driven by dedicated scientists and researchers operating across its R & D centres and breeding sites. He hoped the lab will help the company further strengthen its leadership position and drive growth.
