Telangana Industries and IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao has hailed 14-year-old chess prodigy, E. Arjun, who became the first-ever Grandmaster from the State, and assured him all help from the government’s end.

Appreciating the Warangal boy, he said, “As far as the government is concerned, it will ensure best possible help is extended to the young champion in his pursuit of excellence.”

Arjun was introduced to Mr. Rama Rao by Sports Authority of Telangana State chairman A. Venkateshwar Reddy at Pragati Bhavan on Monday. Power Minister Jagdishwar Reddy was also present.

Meanwhile, Mr. Venkateshwar Reddy has been deputed by the State government to visit the ongoing Asian Games in Indonesia. He will visit the venues where India has the chance of winning medals.
