Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is likely to visit the famous Nagoba jatara, which will begin January 19 at Keslapur village in Indervelli mandal. He will be the first-ever Chief Minister to attend the tribal darbar slated for January 21 or the next day.

The Nagoba jatara is an annual religious event of the Mesram clan of Gonds held at the end of the poos or pushya month. A tribal darbar is organised by the Integrated Tribal Development Agency at Utnoor, where Adivasis get to air their grievances in the hope of a speedy resolution.

Meanwhile, the group of Mesram priests and elders returning from Godavari have started on their journey to Keslapur from Gowri in Jainoor mandal. Carrying sacred Godavari water the group will reach Indervelli mandal and perform puja at Inderai temple in the morning and proceed to Keslapur.
