KCR clears 233 supernumerary teacher posts in Khammam

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao approved the creation of 233 supernumerary posts for adjustment of teachers from seven mandals of Khammam District in Telangana transferred to Andhra Pradesh State.

As per the Chief Minister's instructions, a proposal to this effect was submitted by Commissioner of Tribal Welfare for approval. Out of 477 employees working in the submerged mandals, 304 employees (teaching and Non-teaching) opted for moving out of these mandals to Khammam District and there are not enough of teaching & non-teaching) posts available to accommodate all those who opted for Telangana.

The creation of supernumerary posts, hence became necessary. Earlier, District Collector Khammam in his letter to Commissioner Tribal Welfare mentioned that 233 posts are the additional requirement and requested for creation of supernumerary posts.

It may be mentioned here that Kukanoor, Velerupadu, V.R. Puram, Chintoor, Kunavaram, Bhadrachalam (excluding temple town) and Burgampadu were merged in East Godavari Ditstrict of Andhra Pradesh after bifurcation.
