Karimnagar gears up for Pulse polio

The District Medical and Health Department has been geared up to administer pulse polio vaccine to 4.35 lakh children in the age group of 0 to 5 years on January 18 in Karimnagar district.

2,840 booths

Disclosing this to newsmen here on Friday, DM&HO Dr. Aleem said that they had decided to open 2,840 polio immunisation booths in the district and 81 mobile booths to administer the vaccine to the children.

Besides, 67 transit booths at the railway and bus stations would be functioned during the period. He said that the medical teams were provided the necessary training and made all arrangements for the safe administration of vaccine.
