Kadiam Srihari says he is ready to seek a fresh election

October 15, 2014 01:21 am | Updated May 23, 2016 03:56 pm IST - WARANGAL:

Accepting the challenge of TDP MLA Errabelli Dayakar Rao, TRS MP Kadiam Srihari said he would seek a fresh election if the former too agreed to it.

Mr. Srihari said being a Minister his contribution to the district’s development was immense and he was responsible for completion of SRSP canals, setting up social welfare residential schools, and improving rural road network among other things.

“He is after all an MLA, but I am an MP elected by more people. Mr. Dayakar Rao should mind his language while talking about fellow politicians,” Mr. Srihari said. The TRS MP said Mr. Dayakar Rao tried his best to join the party to become a Minister in KCR’s Cabinet by bringing in four other TDP MLAs. But his attempts were blocked by district leaders. Unable to stomach the development, he had been spitting venom on all others.

The TDP MLAs should convince Mr. Chandrababu Naidu and ensure the share of power to Telangana than criticising the TRS State government. When the State was reeling under power crisis and farmers were in distress, the TDP leaders should stop taking political mileage and do their bit. By going to New Delhi and meeting Prime Minister, the leaders would achieve nothing but meeting Mr Naidu would help the State. It was Mr. Naidu who tried to block the formation of separate Telangana. He was still trying to create obstacles to the TRS government by blocking power supply that was due to the new State. “However, this TRS government will overcome all the difficulties and will prove to be a people-friendly government but only a matter of time. This is not the time for politics. There are no elections now,” the TRS leader said.

MP A. Sitaram Naik, TRS district president T. Ravinder Rao and others were present.
