International Short Film Festival at Warangal

The district will be hosting the first International Short Film Festival on June 15, 16 and 17. 

A team of film lovers under the banner of International Short Film Festival Kakatiya (ISFFK) and Light Line Entertainment Productions, both based in Hyderabad, are organising the event.

Tribal Welfare and Tourism Minister A. Chandulal released the publicity material of the event here on Saturday. The event will be held at Kakatiya University auditorium.

The Minister said the district was endowed with beautiful tourist spots and offered excellent opportunities to film-makers.  

Film Festival chairman and ISFFK founder G. Bhadrappa said that as many as 100 entries from 20 countries have been received so far. The theme of the festival is ‘Human life and nature’. Entry is open for all and free delegate passes will be provided to visitors. Film personalities like Guna Shekar, Anushka, Gopi Chand and Sujith have been invited for the inaugural. The jury consists of three foreign film-makers. A three-member committee of Indian film-makers has been constituted for the selection of films, informed the festival director, V.V. Maheshwar Rao.

The Film Festival secretary, A. Vishal Babu, festival committee members Talla Ravi, M. Saikrishna and Raghotham Reddy were present.
