Raj Gond elders from Indervelli mandal on Sunday conducted a meeting to appoint a coordination committee for organising the 38th anniversary of the Indervelli police firing at the martyrs column near the mandal headquarters.

The meeting was chaired by former chairman of the Aboriginal Tribes Welfare Advisory Committee Sidam Bheem Rao.

The executive committee consists of Mesram Nagnath, Purka Bapu Rao, Madavi Shambhu, Tumram Jugadi Rao and Soyam Ramdas. The elders appealed to their community to arrive at the martyrs column to pay homage to those who died in the police firing of April 20, 1981.
