Hyderabad Runners to train newbies

Osmania University to be one of the training locations

Registrations are open for the round-the-year ‘Train and Shine programme’ of Hyderabad Runners, where walkers can slowly graduate to running 5 km, 10 km, 21.0975 km (half marathon), and 42.195 km (full marathon).

The one-hour daily training programme will start at 6 a.m. and will be held at 13 locations across the city — Osmania University, Alwal and Sanikpuri, Gachibowli or Kondapur, KBR Park, L&T Serene County, Lingampally / BHEL / Nallagandla, My Home Jewel, My Home Vihanga, PBEL City, Sanjeevaiah Park, Uppal and LB Nagar, SMR Vinay Iconia, and Aditya Imperial Heights.

Training includes basic, intermediate and advanced strength and conditioning workout sessions; stability exercises to develop hip stability and core control; running technique drills and cues, yoga for recovery and improving flexibility; besides other workout sessions, said a press release from Hyderabad Runners in the city.
