Helping detect breast cancer early

99 women register for mammography camp organised by NTPC-Ramagundam

As part of its corporate social responsibility, NTPC-Ramagundam Hospital in association with KIMS Hospital, Hyderabad, conducted two-day mammography camp at its Dhanwanthari branch on Monday.

NTPC-Ramagundam executive director Ravindra inaugurated the camp and appreciated the hospital management for arranging facilities for the aged women of the township and nearby villages. Dr Sravan Kumar, oncologist, and his team from KIMS as well as NTPC-Ramagundam hospital staff conducted the camp.

On the opening day, 99 women registered their names for tests, of whom 50 were screened for breast cancer symptoms.

At the inauguration session, CMO Dr Sashmita Dash, GM-HR M.S. Ramesh, NTPC senior officials, and office bearers of unions and Ladies’ Club were present.
