With the Hanuman Jayanti scheduled to be held on May 13, the devotees wearing Hanuman deeksha mala have made a beeline to Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy Devasthanam in Vemulawada of Karimnagar district on Tuesday on their way to Sri Anjaneya Swamy Devasthanam in Kondagattu of Mallial mandal.

Vemulawada turned saffron with the arrival of thousands of devotees wearing Hanuman Deeksha malas.

All the queue lines were packed with the Hanuman devotees, who offered pujas and ‘kode mokku’ rituals at the shrine. Braving the scorching heat, some of the Lord Hanuman’s devotees walked barefoot from various villages to the Vemulawada temple to offer prayers and later proceeded on padayatra to the Kondagattu temple.

Temples spurced up

In the meantime, Sri Anjaneya Swamy Devasthanam in Kondagattu is being decked up for the Hanuman Jayanti celebrations.

Elaborate arrangements were made for devotees.

Similarly, the Agraharam Anjaneya Swamy Devasthanam was also spruced up for the celebrations.

They come to Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy Devasthanam on the eve of Hanuman Jayanti celebrations for a ‘darshan’ of the presiding deity before going to Kondagattu
