Govt. seeks details on land for Air Force Station

January 29, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:44 am IST - ADILABAD:

The State government has asked for a sociological impact study on the issue of lands belonging to SC and ST farmers in the four villages near Adilabad where the proposed Air Force Station (AFS), is likely to come up in future.

It had earlier sought a report on the land requirement as well as availability in the villages of Khanapur, Kachkanti, Anukunta and Tantoli for the AFS.

The conduct of a survey towards the sociological impact by the Revenue Department has however, generated speculations as to the intention of the government.

It is being rumoured that the government was against poor farmers losing any land.
