A government primary school in the interior Veernapalli mandal headquarters has been turned into a railway station to attract students, following the directions of Minister for IT and Municipal Administration K.T. Rama Rao. During a visit to the village, the Minister informed his personal secretary to take all measures to give a facelift to the building. Accordingly, his staff roped in a painter and gave a new look to the school by converting it into a railway station and classrooms into railway coaches.

The students from remote villages, who have never seen a train, are more than happy to attend a school that looks like a railway station. The office and staff room have been painted like a railway engine followed by coaches.
