Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) SC Morcha general secretary Dushyant Kumar Goutam said that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government at the Centre was committed to the development of oppressed sections and was trying to realise the dreams of Babasaheb Ambedkar.
Participating in a programme held at the district headquarters on Saturday, Mr. Dushyant said on the occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of Ambedkar, that the government was making efforts to transform Nagpur, the birth place of the great leader, as a tourist spot.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to the welfare of oppressed sections. Atal Pension Yojana and Jan Dhan Yojana were introduced for them,” he said.
Party district unit president K. Buchi Reddy presided over the meeting. Party leaders N. Ramachandar Rao, former MLA K. Satyanarayana, K. Ramulu, Chinta Sambamurthy, A. Achary and others participated in the programme.
