Go Heritage run gets good response

About 500 persons including children took part in the ‘Go Heritage’ run organised here on Sunday.

District Collector Vakati Karuna and SP AK Jha flagged off the runs at the Fort Warangal and took part in them. Mr Ajay Reddy of ‘Go Unesco’ organisation, said a total of 175 persons from outside Warangal registered for the run while an equal number of people from the district took part actively. It was aimed at promoting the Warangal heritage and also to encourage local art and culture. “The winners were given Cheriyal paintings,” he told The Hindu . The run was organised jointly by Kakatiya Heritage Trust, Intach, Go Unesco and others. Three runs of 21 km, 16 km and 5 km respectively were organised as part of the event.
