Free training in tailoring for women

The Challa Balaiah memorial trust is offering free training for women in job-oriented tailoring and beautician courses in Mankammathota in Karimnagar town.

Trust chairman Challa Harishankar, local corporator Challa Swaroopa and district BC welfare officer G Sarojana had formally inaugurated the training programme on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Harishankar said that they were providing such training programmes for the empowerment of womenfolk for last three years. This year, they would be providing training to 176 women in three batches, he added.

Corporator Swaroopa and BC Welfare Officer Sarojana called upon the women to utilise the training and help their families by securing additional income. Community organiser P Sunitha, trainers K Mamatha and G Sujatha and others were also present.
