Four dead in road accident near Shamshabad

A container truck hit a stationary jeep on Sunday night, killing four people which included three women in Shamshabad. Four others sustained injuries and were stated to be in a critical condition as per the doctors.

The accident took place at Ghansimiyanguda in Shamshabad when the driver parked the jeep on the roadside and went to enquire from a hotel owner the route for Gulbarga town. 

 "The container truck coming from Benguluru hit the jeep. The vehicle skidded of the road and fell in a roadside pit," the police said. 

The Shamshabad police were informed immediately who then rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to the hospital. 

While one person died on the spot, the driver and two more women died while undergoing treatment at the hospital. 

The family who were travelling in the jeep came to the city for sightseeing and were on way back to their home.
