Two rare bronze and copper idols, one of them identified as Alwar, found in the fields of Satyanarayanapuram village of Tripuraram mandal recently, were handed over to Tripuraram police by the villagers.

Sub Inspector of Police, Tripuraram, Yaladri was asked by the Archaeology officialsto hand over the idols at Directorate of Archaeology and Museums in Hyderabad. The Sub Inspector told The Hindu that two constables took the idols to Hyderabad and handed over the idols to Sunitha M.Bhagwath, Director of Archaeology and Museums, on Monday.
