She passed away aged 62 on Wednesday morning at Meenavolu village in Khammam district of Telangana

Lalitha Bhavaraju, a former employee of The Hindu, died due to a massive heart attack on Wednesday. She was 62 and is survived by husband K. Sambasiva Reddy, also a former journalist, and a daughter.

She passed away on Wednesday morning at Meenavolu village in Khammam district of Telangana in her own house.

Born in Kakinada on 26 August 1957, she had worked as a sub-editor in Deccan Chronicle Visakhapatnam and later as a reporter at The Hindu in Visakhapatnam.

She voluntarily resigned from service while working in The Hindu newsdesk in Hyderabad.
