Five of family attempt suicide

Unable to come out of debt trap and land dispute, a family attempted suicide at Marpadaga village in Kondapaka mandal of Medak district late on Sunday night.

According to sources, Uppala Bramhachari (45) gave tablets laced with poison to his mother, wife and children stating that their illness would be cured. At about 11 p.m. the family members cried for help after they started vomiting. They were immediately admitted to a hospital for treatment. All of them were out of danger and slowly recovering.
