The formation day celebrations were held in the newly-formed district at Jagtial Fort in the town on Friday.
Government Chief Whip Koppula Eshwar participated in the celebrations and hoisted the national flag. Students of various educational institutions captivated the gathering with their scintillating performances.
Mr. Eshwar distributed assets and financial assistance to women self-help groups on the occasion. Jagtial legislator T. Jeevan Reddy, Korutla legislator K. Vidyasagar Rao, Collector A. Sharath and others were also present.
In Peddapalli town, Legislative Council Chief Whip Paturi Sudhakar Reddy hoisted the national flag in the presence of Peddapalli legislator D. Manohar Reddy, Manthani legislator Putta Madhukar and in-charge Collector S. Prabhakar Reddy.
On the occasion, Mr. Sudhakar Reddy distributed ₹14 crore bank linkage assistance to a women self-help group. He also handed over a cheque for over ₹One crore to the marketing commission for the SHG to procure paddy from farmers. He also handed over financial assistance of ₹10 lakh each to nine families of Telangana martyrs on the occasion.
