Federal Front is family front, says BJP

Modi set to return, says Laxman

Telangana BJP has lashed out at the ‘family fronts’ shaping up across the country in the form of Federal Front and Grand Alliance claiming that they are no match to the charisma of Prime Minister Narendra Modi since the “people of the country, including those in Telangana having already decided in his favour”.

“The proposed Federal Front of regional parties lack a national perspective and it is only meant to instigate regional passions to perpetuate family rule. Both TS and AP CMs are indulging in futile exercises to hoodwink citizens and they will not succeed,” said BJP TS chief K. Laxman and city president N. Ramchander Rao on Wednesday.

Addressing a press conference at the State office, they charged that the alternative political grouping without Congress or BJP has no agenda or a leader to lead it. Moreover, by winning parliamentary seats there is little that KCR or his party could do at the Centre. They saw a ‘Modi wave’ this time also and TS people are getting ready to give him a second chance as rest of the country.

The recent national executive meeting of the party in Delhi was a ‘grand success’ with leaders and activists enthused with the message conveyed by Mr. Modi and party chief Amit Shah. It would be a battle between a “strong government sans any scams” as against “weak corrupt coalition” in the forthcoming parliamentary polls. The BJP leaders welcomed the disqualification of TRS MLCs who moved to Congress recently and demanded the same formula be applied to those lured or defected to the TRS as the law should be applied equally to all public representatives. They forecast ‘different’ results in TS this year and announced the visits of Mr. Shah later this month and that of the PM in March.
