Extortion bid suspected


Man carrying country-made weapon held

Central Crime Station police nabbed a person while he was carrying a country-made weapon and bullet in Miryalaguda. The accused was identified as Kishan Kumar Yadav, native of Bihar. He had been working as a labourer in rice mills in Mirayalaguda during the past four years. Mr. Yadav went to his village and brought the weapon from some unidentified person in Bihar.

Speaking to news reporters in Nalgonda here on Wednesday, CCS, DSP, V. Sunitha Mohan, said that accused had brought the weapon with an intention to extort money from rice mill owners since he lost his job recently.
