District Collector P. Venkataram Reddy has directed the officials to extend all assistance required to the farmers under ‘Mana Telangana-Mana Vyavasayam : Maa Bhoomi - Maa Panta’ programme.

Presiding over a training programme organised here on Thursday for agriculture extension officers, primary agriculture credit society (PACS) officers and fertilizer shop dealers, Mr. Venkataram Reddy said that a survey about farmers would be conducted so that the authorities would be in a position to understand the requirement of farmers.

Informing that 73 agriculture extension officers were appointed in the district, each with a supervising responsibility of 5,000 acres, the Collector said that the officials should have information of each farmer on their finger tips. He has suggested to the dealers to extend service to the farmers instead of making it a complete business.
