District Collector D. Ronald Rose called upon the differently-abled persons to make use of the opportunities being provided by the State government.
Addressing a gathering after formally inaugurating a training programme of the differently-abled on mini solar lights, Mr. Ronald said that about 13 persons from Kandi village were selected for the training programme at the National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD) at Rajendra Nagar adding that marketing facility would also be provided for them.
Thrive Solar Energy Chairman and Director Ranga explained about manufacturing solar lights, machinery and screen printing. District Legal Services Authority Secretary Justice M. Kanaka Durga wished all the trained persons success in their endeavour.
Earlier in the day, the Collector visited the district disabled rehabilitation centre and directed the officials to shift the physiotherapy equipment to the government hospital under Rashtriya Bala Swasthya Programme that would being soon in the government hospital.
