Decision to waive tuition fee welcomed

The Telangana Government Junior Lecturers’ Association (TGJLA) has welcomed the State government’s decision to waive the tuition fee of SC, ST, BC and minority students, who are taking admission into government junior colleges. The State government will also distribute free textbooks to all these students.

Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Kadiam Srihari announced these key decisions at a press meet in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

Vice-president of the association, Mohammed Ismail, said that they had submitted several representations to the State government earlier, urging them to exempt poor students from paying the fee
