The TRS has left it to its president and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao the decision on the request of the TDP seeking support for its no-confidence motion against BJP-led NDA government, the notice for which was given by TDP on Tuesday.
Speaking to media persons after the all-party meeting in New Delhi on the eve of commencement of the monsoon session of Parliament on Wednesday, TRS leader in the Lok Sabha A.P. Jithender Reddy said the TDP had sought TRS support for no-confidence motion and adjournment motion on unkept promises of the Centre over bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao would take a decision on no-confidence motion, while the TRS would support the adjournment motion. The TRS would participate in the debate if it was taken up and raise issues concerning Telangana. The TRS was keen on debate about promises to Telangana by Centre like establishment of steel factory at Bayyaram, Information Technology Investment Region and Indian Institute of Management.
Separately, Nizamabad MP of TRS K. Kavitha recalled that the TDP and YSR Congress had issued notice of no-confidence against NDA government in the last session of Parliament. But, it was not accepted. If the notice was taken up this time, the matter would be discussed within the party before a decision was taken.
She reminded media persons who met her in Hyderabad that the TDP chose to move no-confidence motion against BJP that had been its alliance partner all these years. It was for leaders and people of Andhra Pradesh to ponder over the intention of the TDP.
