CPI(M) launches ‘Prachara Yatra’

The CPI (M) launched the week-long ‘Prachara Yatra’ seeking reservations in private sector jobs for socially and economically backward communities here on Wednesday.

The party senior leader and Rythu Coolie Sangham president K. Venkat flagged off the yatra at the Phulong.

Speaking on the occasion, district secretary Dandi Venkat said that the yatra would go round all the 36 mandals in the district from May 20 to 27 drumming up support from people on the demand.

The party leaders, division secretaries and mandal in-charges would take part in the yatra and address road side meetings, he said.

Mr. K. Venkat said that it was the need of the hour to provide reservations for the candidates of the oppressed sections in private sector Unless reservations were implemented in the private sector employment inequalities in society could not be minimised, he added.
