June 02, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:55 am IST - KHAMMAM:

Around 4,500 qualified unemployed youths have enrolled themselves as members of the divisional level committees being constituted as part of the ongoing CPI(M)’s bus yatra campaign in the district to press for job quota for weaker sections in the private sector.

The 21-day district-wide bus yatra reached Wyra mandal on the 14th day of the yatra on Monday.

Addressing a meeting held in this connection at Wyra, the CPI (M) district secretary P. Sudarshan Rao said the bus yatra covered a total of six Assembly constituencies in the district so far.

Committees are being constituted in each division to build a mass movement for achieving job quota for weaker sections in the private sector.

The bus yatra evoked overwhelming response from the Left affiliated organisations, various associations representing a cross-section of society so far, he said, adding that the bus yatra would pass through the remaining four Assembly constituencies before culminating in a public meeting in Khammam on June 8.
