CPI stages dharna

The Communist Party of India (CPI) Karimnagar district unit leaders staged a dharna in front of the Collectorate here on Monday flaying the Union government for steep increase of prices of all essential commodities.

Responding to the call given by the national party, the CPI district unit leaders staged dharna under the leadership of party State secretary Chada Venkat Reddy, district secretary K. Ramgopal Reddy and others.

Speaking on the occasion, CPI leaders flayed the BJP government at the Centre for failing to check the price rise of essential commodities. Their bid to enter the Collectorate was foiled by police.
